ZTE Apache with 8-core CPU reported to be coming in 2013!

ZTE, currently fourth largest smartphone manufacturer globally, is rumored of producing high-end smartphone called Apache. ZTE Apache could well be the smartphone which would take ZTE to the third largest smartphone manufacturer.

It’s believed that ZTE’s Apache will hit the stores in 2013 with an 8-core CPU under the hood. Mediatek is said to beaten NVIDIA and Qualcomm for the job to produce 8-core chip which would be manufactured using TSMC’s 28nm process. Apache is also packed with other high-end specs such as, 13MP camera, 1080p dispaly and WCDMA/4G LTE/TD-SCDMA support, which means that China Mobile will support the device.

Seems that ZTE is finally taking that final step of becoming one of the largest smartphone manufacturers, and with this high-end device they will start to compete with higher ranked players.
