Windows Phone 7.8 reportedly handed to manufacturers, release imminent!

Earlier it was believed that Windows Phone 7.8 might be released in early 2013, but now new reports are claiming that the launch is imminent. At a private briefing held by Microsoft (MSFT) and Nokia (NOK) in Singapore, representatives told to attendances that the upgrade has been released to the manufacturers(RTM), that in mind, the public roll out is only days away.

Windows Phone 8 was released in October and it’s available for smartphones such as Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X, but for those who don’t want to invest in new Windows Phone smartphone, brings some of the Windows Phone 8 features on over to existing handsets.

It’s still unclear how wide and quick the roll out will be, but it seems like users have to wait a matter of days rather than months.
