ASUS enters the Google TV competition with it’s latest innovation, Qube. Qube is Google TV device that lets users access to Android apps, movies, TV and more, and it can be controlled via smartphone or tablet app. It also allows user to use motion control and voice search features, ASUS claims that Qube is the first Google TV device that lets user to do that. Qube with Google TV also includes 50GB of ASUS WebStorage as standard.

Apple is in ‘early stage’ of testing TV set designs, according to report from WSJ. Report also tells that Apple is working with Foxconn and Sharp to test designs for a TV set. This kind of rumors have been out there many years now, but surely this must be the most solid information that there is as it comes from WSJ. As we all know, WSJ report from the supply chain is often the first sign that Apple is designing new product, and that the company is serious about it.
The project seems to be still in early stages, with one source saying about the TV “isn’t a formal project yet.”

Have you ever wondered how Samsung designs it’s Smart Tv’s? Wonder no more, SamsungTomorrow just released YouTube video, which shows what goes into of designing of Smart TV. The video is similar as was Galaxy S3 design video. The video is made of how to design Samsung’s 75-inch $9,999 ES9000 smart TV, the final design of the ES9000 was apparently selected from 15,000 different drawings. Samsung (005930) announces that they have teamed up with Spotify, and they are bringing the service to it’s 2012 Smart TV’s in Europe. Spotify brings new app designed for Samsung’s Smart TV’s. Software will arrive later this year with existing Premium users finding their playlists already syncing, for those who are new to the service they will get a short free trial. Samsung is also planning to bring the service onto it’s Blu-ray players and Home Theater systems. New Spotify App will be available initially on the Samsung Smart TV 2012 E series. Netflix has confirmed that it’s expanding to northern Europe. This year Netflix comes to Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Company didn’t tell anything about pricing, features or supported devices, but they told that they will give more information soon. In Ireland pricing is 6,99€, so i think the pricing would be almost the same. Rumors are saying that Netflix is coming to Finland in October with 14000 movies and tv-series.
