Samsung Galaxy S2 to get Android Jelly Bean update in February!

If you are one of those Samsung Galaxy S2 owners, you’re going to be very happy in February. Samsung is reportedly releasing Android Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S2 devices in February. According to the report from GSMArena, Samsung spokesperson told to Cnet that Galaxy S2 smartphone will get the Android Jelly Bean update in early February in Singapore and it will be launched in other regions soon after. The update will arrive to GT-I9100, and also to U.S variants i777 (for AT&T) and the T989 (for T-Mobile). Samsung has recently also told that Galaxy S2 device has shipped more than 40 million times since it’s launch on April 2011.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update now available for Galaxy S3 on AT&T via Kies!

Samsung Galaxy S3 users on AT&T are now reportedly started to get Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update via KIES. The Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S3 on AT&T is sized at 738MB. The update follows previous deployments for Sprint and T-Mobile. Now the only carrier in the US that won’t have Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S3 is Verizon Wireless. Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update brings long waited new features and improvements to AT&T Galaxy S3, including Project Butter, Google Now and new notifications center, also Samsung introduces new version of TouchWiz interface.

HTC confirms the Windows Phone 8S will not be coming to US!

Wondering of buying HTC’s lower priced Windows Phone 8S? Well there’s some bad news. While everybody is still waiting pricing and availability around the globe, HTC announced that they won’t bring Windows Phone 8S to US. Company didn’t tell specific reason why they won’t make it available in US, but it’s believed that company wants to concentrate to it’s high-end Windows Phone 8X.

Here is HTC’s statement:

“The Windows Phone 8X by HTC is our signature Windows Phone available at AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless in the U.S. With our focus on the Windows Phone 8X by HTC, the Windows Phone 8S is not currently planned for distribution in the U.S. market.”

T-Mobile USA Galaxy S3 getting Jelly Bean update today!

There’s some great news for T-Mobile customers in U.S., if you have Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone, there’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update ready for you. The update is available via OTA, and the version is T999UVDLJA. T-Mobile’s update follows Sprint’s Galaxy S3 update a couple of weeks back.

Now there will be new features available for U.S. T-Mobile Galaxy S3 customers including Project Butter, Google Now, new notifications center and many more. There’s also new TouchWiz features available including blocking Mode and new AllShare cast sharing. Check out the update from you device update section in your Galaxy S3 device.

T-Mobile exclusively announces Nokia Lumia 810, with Windows Phone 8!



Nokia (NOK) recently announced Lumia 920 and 820 are exclusively for AT&T (T) and now company comes with another exclusive announcement. T-Mobile announced that they will sell exclusively Nokia Lumia 810, variant for Lumia 820 model. Nokia Lumia 810 is Windows Phone 8 smartphone with 4.3-inch 800-by-480 display, wireless charging, 4G HSPA+, 8 Megapixel rear camera and 1.2 Mega pixel front facing camera. T-Mobile hasn’t announce pricing or launch date yet, but Windows Phone 8 launch date is October 29th so we can expect Lumia 810 to be launched after that. HTC Confirms Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is Coming to One series Devices!



Yesterday we covered that Android 4.1 Jelly bean is coming to multiple HTC One devices and now it’s a fact. HTC confirmed that the One XL, One X and One S will be getting upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at some point in the future.

Here is the company’s statement:

“We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean.”

Also it’s been informed that One X and One S devices for AT&T, Rogers and T-Mobile will also receive Jelly Bean update in future.

(UPDATE) Samsung Galaxy S3 Coming to U.S. Carriers in This Month!



UPDATE: Verizon Wireless starting to accept pre-ordes of Galaxy S3 at June 6th, Price starts at $199.99. T-Mobile to launch Galaxy S3 June 21st, no price details yet. Sprint to launch Galaxy S3 June 21st, pricing $199.99-249.99, and pre-orders start at June 5th. US Cellular pre-orders start June 12th and shipping starts at July, pricing range is from $199-249.

Samsung has just announced that they are going to launch Samsung Galaxy S3 in U.S. Five of the carriers will get customized versions of Samsung Galaxy S3. Those Carriers are: Verizon Wireless, At&t, T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular. Engadget reported that they are expecting that prices are set to $199.99 with contract, and that all 5 variants are going to keep the 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display.

You got Qualcomm 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, Gorilla Glass 2.0, 16GB/32GB of internal storage and you can get your Samsung Galaxy S3 in two colors: Pebble Blue Hue or Marble White. Battery is 2100mAH which should last long enough to get you through the day.
