I received ASUS PadFone 2 one week ago and since then i’ve been using it as my daily driver. Since day one i decided to do a 30 day challenge featured article sharing my thoughts during this challenge. Before i received PadFone 2 from ASUS, i’ve been using Samsung Galaxy S3 as my personal smartphone and i’ve been enjoying to use it a lot, but sometimes you need change in your life and now i thought that it’s time to try some another smartphone for my personal handset. I really liked the Samsung TouchWiz with all it’s “nature” like features, but let’s see what do i think of the PadFone 2 along the way of this 30 day challenge.
Photo of the Huawei’s Ascend P2 was leaked by one of the Twitter’s biggest tech leaker @evleaks. The smartphone was previously already teased, but this is first photo that shows us better some design features that we haven’t seen before, like 13MP camera on the back. It’s also now known that Ascend P2 is only 6.45mm thin, and it’s amazing to see how Huawei managed to add the 13MP camera into so thin chassis. There’s also a photo of the company’s consumer BG CEO Richard Yu holding Ascend P2 during the meeting back in November(check it out after the break). Huawei is going to unveil Ascend P2 at MVC this February, and we are more than excited to see it.
Nokia is rumored to unveil new Lumia Windows Phone with 41MP PureView camera at Mobile World Congress next month. The smartphone is codenamed as “EOS”, and it would include similar sensor to which is found on the Nokia 808 PureView. This optics would be a huge boost to the Nokia’s imagine technology, as well as provide new high-end Lumia Windows Phone to consumers.
It’s also believed that “EOS” would have aluminum body instead of polycarbonate, that is used in previous Lumia models. Nokia has previously teased at “more to come” with it’s imagine capabilities in Windows Phone. Nokia’s head of imaging technologies, Juha Alakarhu, posted following to a blog.
Bigger is better?! It seems to be the trend in tech nowdays, as many mobile device manufacturers are developing bigger and better smartphones/phablets. Recently it was rumored that Samsung is going to launch 6.3-inch Galaxy Note smartphone, which seems to be huge. Huawei also announced Ascend Mate, 6.1-inch smartphone. Now it’s believed that Sony is developing 6.44-inch 1080p smartphone/tablet device. Photo, that you can see above, looks like a traditional production line leak, completed with sterile white cloves. It’s believed that the screen ratio is 16:9, and the lack of physical buttons indicates that it will be android device. If this upcoming Sony device is already started to roll off production lines, chances are that we are going to see the device in MWC this February.
Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo just announced line of Android device, and the most exciting device must be NEC’s Medias W. The NEC-made handset is a foldable smartphone with two 4.3-inch LCD displays. The device is also packed with 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP shooter on the back, 16GB of internal storage and built-in microSD slot. When you open the device the screen size expands to 5.6-inch diagonally, thanks to the two displays. Thanks to the two displays, apps can be used independently or together to provide more space. The device comes with Android Jelly Bean, and it’s expected to be launched in April in Japan. There’s no official word yet when or will it hit international markets.
Samsung is expected to announce 5.8-inch Android smartphone at Mobile World Congress in February in Barcelona. The 5.8-inch smartphone model number is GT-I9152, and it has dual-SIM support. The device will come in Pure White color. It’s also expected that the device runs Android 4.1.2 or Android 4.2.1. It seems that this device is aimed to Asian markets with it’s dual-SIM support. We’ll just have to wait for more leaks and see what Samsung will announce at MWC 2013.
