Samsung Galaxy Note 8″ spotted out and wild!

tab4_b_7733

Samsung’s next device to it’s Galaxy Note line up, Galaxy Note 8, has been seen out and wild. The image you see above is the new Galaxy Note 8, but it also sports some special design features similar to Galaxy S3 and Note 2, such as curved chassis. You can also clearly see S Pen in the bottom right corner of the photo. Samsung also has decided to still use traditional menu, back and home setup, instead of going to onscreen buttons. It’s believed that main reason for Samsung to still keep traditional buttons is that it’s less important to keep them in Android 4.2 than in Honeycomb.

Rumors are also saying that Samsung is going to unveil Galaxy Note 8 at Mobile World Congress coming February. Reported specs include 8-inch 1,280-by-800 display, a 1.6GHz Exynos 4 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and TouchWiz’d Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Apple rumored to be working on a cheaper iPhone, could launch in late 2013!

iphone5-front-back

Apple is rumored of making cheaper iPhone version for years now, and now rumors of cheaper iPhone has surfaced again. Now according to report from Wall Street Journal, Apple is “working on a lower-end iPhone,” citing only “people familiar with the matter” as proof. Site also states that the company has “explored such a device for years,” but that exploring is getting closer to reality as the smartphone’s are changing. New iPhone “could resemble the standard iPhone, with a different, less-expensive body”, meaning that cheap iPhone could look more like iPhone 3GS. Main reason for the launch of cheaper iPhone, could be high price of the iPhone 5 $649 in the U.S, and can even cost more overseas. You could get Android device with same or higher specs, but for less money.

VLC launches Kickstarter campaign for new Windows 8 app!

Popular Media player VLC have started Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for Windows 8 app. VLC media player runs currently in Windows 8, but several members of the company wants to create new metro style app for Windows 8. Main reason to start Kickstarter campaign for VLC is to raise funds to allow current members to work full-time with the Windows 8 version, and hire designers to rework the user interface of the new Metro style app.

The project will only start if team raises £40,000, before December 29th. If it’s success the port for new Metro styled app will be ready in three months. VLC won’t launch Windows RT version straight at the start, but they will include it in future updates.

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich now sits at 25.8% and it saw a little movement, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean jumped from 1.8% to 2.7%.
