Photos of Apple’s iPad 5 leaked, looks lot like iPad Mini!
There’s been lot of rumors about that iPad 5 would look similar to iPad Mini, and now 9to5mac posted first images of alleged iPad 5. iPad 5′s design is similar to iPad Mini’s, and i features black&slate or white&silver design, thinner casing, chamfered edges, and a smaller overall footprint. 9to5mac received these photos from China based iPad accessories maker.
There’s no confirmation about the legitimate of these photos, but according to the site, “it does provide a solid representation of what Apple’s next iPad will likely look like.” It’s also now believed that Apple is going to release next generation iPad later this year, and not on March as they usually do. Acer announces mid-range Liquid E1 phone!
Acer has added yet another phone to it’s Liquid E mid-range handset lineup, and the phone is called Liquid E1. The phone specs aren’t worst, but not the best neither, it packs 4.5-inch qHD(960×540) IPS display, a dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, a 5MP camera on the back and 1,760mAh battery. It ships with Android 4.1.1, and that’s great, but Android 4.2 would have been better. Liquid E1 measures in at 132 x 68.5 x 9.9mm, and it weights only 130 grams. More photos of HTC’s sense 5 on DROID DNA leaked!
More photos of HTC’s Sense 5 on DROID DNA leaked by XDA developer forum member mdeejay. At the site there’s multiple photos of HTC’s Sense 5, which is apparently said to be stable build of Android 4.1.2 with Sense 5 running on Verizon phone, as ported from a Sprint version of the M7. It’s pretty interesting to see that Sprint is going to get HTC’s flagship smartphone M7, seems that these two companies are pretty good friends and have strong ties through the EVO brand. Instagram has now 90 million monthly active users, 40 million photos posted daily!
Despite it’s Terms of Service incident last month, Instagram is going strong, and now the company offered some details of it’s monthly users for the first time. Instagram now has 90 million monthly users, and that’s 10 percent up from December to January. Instagram’s Kevin Systrom also told to AllThingsD that the company “continues to see very strong growth around the world.” How many photo’s 90 million users post daily then? Well according to Instagram there’s 40 million photo uploaded daily, thats huge, along with 8,500 likes per second and 1,000 comments per second. It now seems that “Terms of Service” incident didn’t affect Instagram as much as it has been reported. You can read more from the source link after the break.
White PlayStation 3 bundle photos surfaces!
As far as im concerned i’ve always been fan of white colored gadgets and for me white PS3 would be cherry on top of the cake. Now photos of white PlayStation 3 bundle surfaced. Sony is going to launch white PS3 bundle in the future, at least in Canada. Both Best Buy, and Future Shop, are listing a Crystal White Limited Edition Bundle that includes 500GB hard drive, a year-long PlayStation Plus subscription and a trio of games for $300 Canadian. Both stores list a January 27th in-stock date.
Imgur wants to become YouTube of of photos!
Imgur has been known as the image provider for Reddit, but it’s recently released galleries features is helping the site to transform from invisible image provider to prime destination for viewing photos. The site served up to 3.8 billion pageviews to 56 million unique visitors, according to the article from TechCrunch. One big fact is that, now 40 percent of Imgur visitors came from direct visitors to the site, rather than being referred from other sites like Reddit. Imgur founder told that a big part of that traffic was thanks to it’s new gallery feature. Imgur wants to be YouTube of photos and it’s important to the company to break it’s dependency on Reddit.
Samsung’s flexible Windows Phone 8 prototype caught on video!
There’s been photos of Samsung’s presentation, which shows their flexible screen technology on a Windows Phone, and now someone lucky caught it on a low quality video. You can see the video after the break, and it shows clearly that the display is in fact real and it’s working. There’s also a concept video of flexible display showing the potential of the display. ASUS Zenbook Touch U500VZ surfaces on ASUS website, pricing still unknown!
Zenbook Touch U500VZ, is ASUS’s 15-inch ultrabook and it has quietly popped up on ASUS’ website. Though the company has yet to announce the laptop officially and there’s no pricing revealed yet. ASUS’ 11-inch Zenbook models are also confirmed to get touchscreens as well. ASUS Zenbook Touch U500VZ is packed with Core i7-3632QM processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics card and dual 256GB SSDs. Jolla shows it’s upcoming Sailfish OS in video tour!
It must be one of the most anticipated OS launches in year 2013. Jolla told that they are going to launch first Sailfish OS operated smartphones in coming months. In this video (after the break), Jolla shows it’s Sailfish OS to Engadget. It’s already know that Sailfish builds on MeeGo quite effectively, and this video shows that there will be a lot appeal. As you know Sailfish will be gesture centric, and many native apps will respond to gesture commands even when those apps are presented as “cards” on the home screen. All the apps seems to be very responsive, and those apps you’ll see in this video are fairly representative in the final build of the Sailfish OS. Jolla won’t show us much in the video except contacts app, music app, photos and home screens.
More BlackBerry N-Series images surfaces, shows QWERTY keyboard!
BlackBerry smartphone, you see above was first leaked in early December, but now there’s better images leaked. You can now clearly see that this BlackBerry smartphone has QWERTY keyboard and it’s likely part of RIM’s N-Series, and it runs RIM’s upcoming BB10. N4BB, reports that the model number of this smartphone is going to be X10. We’ll have to wait fo the RIM’s official BB10 event on January 30th, to see more info about this smartphone and other BB10 smartphones.
