New details of Microsoft’s Windows 8 successor emerge!

windows-blue

As reported earlier this year, Microsoft is going to switch to an annual release of it’s operating system starting with “Windows Blue” in mid-2013. Now user called “maxy”, who has been unofficially identified as a Microsoft official, uploaded a post to PCBeta forum claiming that “Windows Blue” or “Windows 9 dev”, will get customization options in the form of Windows Phone 8′s resizable app tiles.

Microsoft is also going to keep desktop view around, but remove the gloss on elements including the taskbar. Microsoft’s will also use new kernel (v.6.3), which will give more polished look to next Windows. There’s no word that these claimed new features are legimite, but sure they sound plausible. Check out the article after the break.

New video shows Windows Phone 7.8 on Nokia Lumia 900!

New video was posted in YouTube yesterday, which shows Windows Phone 7.8 on Nokia Lumia 900. 37 seconds long video won’t be long enough to see all those amazing new features that Windows Phone 7.8 will bring, but a little teaser video shows live tiles in action, which happens to be one of the most anticipated new features. Video also shows new Xbox icon. Just last week Microsoft announced that Windows Phone 7.8 will arrive in Q1 next year, but no actual date is set yet. There’s also no information about, which devices are going to get Windows Phone 7.8 update, but Microsoft told that they are going to release it to “as many devices as possible.” Check out the video from below and let me know are you excited of Windows Phone 7.8.

(UPDATE) New job listing from Nokia suggests future Android handset?!

UPDATE: No, Nokia isn’t making any Android handset. This job listing(since removed) had something to do with Nokia mapping service HERE, and maybe we can see it in Android device in some time in the future. So hide the hopes for the Nokia Android handset.

Nokia and Microsoft have been partners for sometime now, and honestly they are manufacturing quite nice devices together. Now new job listing from Nokia they posted in LinkedIn that they are looking to hire senior software engineer with Linux experience. Nokia says that new engineer would work in a “startup environment” developing “exciting new products” for future, The advert don’t specifically mention Android platform, but as we all know Linux is core of Android.

This also could also be as boring as Nokia Maps for Google devices.

Can we see Android powered Nokia handsets in the future? Might be, but nothing is sure yet. Do we want to see Android powered Nokia handset? Oh yeah, sure we do, and think guys what kind of possibilities Nokia would then have, with more than 700,000 apps in their app store.

New photos of Grand Theft Auto V shows off “five times bigger” world than Red Dead Redemption!

New images of Grand Theft Auto V posted by gamer.nl details “five times bigger” world than in Red Dead Redemption. Earlier post from Game Informer Magazine tells that GTA V world is also more expensive than Red Dead Redemption, GTA 4 and San Andreas combined. Rockstar boss and GTA writer Dan Houser also told that GTA wouldn’t be the same game if it would based on other country than US.

“You could make a great game set in Amsterdam. Would it be GTA? I don’t know. We haven’t done it, so I can’t really offer a comment or an opinion on it. We’ve avoided it because we think that part of the experience of GTA is its engagement with America, or American media, American movies, American culture.”

Next trailer of GTA V is released November 11th and the game itself will be out next spring on PS3 and Xbox 360. Check out more images of the game from below.

New details of the Grand Theft Auto 5 leaked!

Loads of new details leaked of Rockstar’s highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 5. The biggest reveal must be, that you can now switch between three main character at the touch of the button, just like in Trine. There’s three main characters in the game and those are:

- Michael; a retired bank robber in his early 40s who lives in a posh Rockford Hills (a Beverly Hill stand-in) estate with his spiteful trophy wife, bratty teenage daughter and 20 year old son. He’s in the witness protection program, but still leads a luxurious life due to an “unconventional deal with the FIB.” His money is running dry due to his wife’s spending habits, so he inevitably returns to a life of crime.

- Trevor; a junkie and ex-military pilot prone to fits of rage. He resides in Blaine County, a desert region full of bikers and meth heads (similar to the area around the Salton Sea). An old friend of Michael’s, he joins up for another heist. A hands-off demo showed him set fire to a car just for the hell of it, apparently.

- Franklin; a hustler in his mid 20s working for an Armenian car dealership where he plays the role of thuggish repo man. He lives in Vespucci Beach (like Venice Beach), and wants to move up in the world. He comes in contact with Michael after targeting him for a hustle.

Now you won’t be able to lose or gain weight as in San Andreas or romance with different people as in GTA:4. “We weren’t sure it would work, and we’re doing a lots of other new stuff,” said vice president of creative Dan Houser. “It just felt like it was going to be overly complex.

When driving a car they feel less ‘boatlike’ as they did in GTA:4, now driving feels more like in a racing game. New feature also allows you to flip off people by showing them middle finger, which will result in different reactions from citizens. There might be multiplayer option too, but Rockstar is keeping it’s mouth shut up this, though there can be some co-op under switching characters.

Jolla Mobile’s MeeGo phone is Going to be Different than Any other Phone in the Market!

STT interviewed Jolla Mobile’s CEO Jussi Hurmola, and he told little bit of new MeeGo smartphone. “Our MeeGo phone is going to look awesome and it’s used by those people who wants to be stick out from the crowds”, Hurmola commented. He also promises that Jolla Mobile’s MeeGo phone is not going to be only for “nerds”, you can do things with it, but it’s also easy and fun to use.

Hurmola also commented, “Our OS is going to be different than anybody else’s. Example you can find 20 different Android manufacturers in stores, but they all look same. Android OS is great, but it’s been around already for 5-7 years and it’s getting old”.

Sounds great, but what is the final product going to look like and is it as good as Hurmola says? We just have to wait and see.
