Apple OS X 10.9 rumored to include Apple Maps and Siri!
Apple (AAPL) is rumored to include Siri and Apple Maps in it’s next OS X version. there’s rumors that early builds of OS X 10.9 could include Siri and Apple Maps, sources close to the subject told to 9to5mac. OS X 10.9 is still in early stage of testing and it’s still unclear that Siri and Apple’s Maps app will be included in final version of the OS X 10.9.
With this MapKit framework, as developers refer to it for iOS, in OS X 10.9, it is also possible that Apple will extend its own work on mapping on the Mac besides integration for developers. It is possible that Apple will want its own full-fledged Maps app on the Mac, but we have not been able to confirm that as of yet.
It’s also believed that Apple started to develop OS X 10.8 and OS X 10.9 simultaneously. OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion was launched in July 2012, and developers were able to test it already around February 2012. So there’s still time before we are going to see first build of OS X 10.9, but it seems to be on it’s way to launch in summer of 2013.
