Jolla shows it’s upcoming Sailfish OS in video tour!
It must be one of the most anticipated OS launches in year 2013. Jolla told that they are going to launch first Sailfish OS operated smartphones in coming months. In this video (after the break), Jolla shows it’s Sailfish OS to Engadget. It’s already know that Sailfish builds on MeeGo quite effectively, and this video shows that there will be a lot appeal. As you know Sailfish will be gesture centric, and many native apps will respond to gesture commands even when those apps are presented as “cards” on the home screen. All the apps seems to be very responsive, and those apps you’ll see in this video are fairly representative in the final build of the Sailfish OS. Jolla won’t show us much in the video except contacts app, music app, photos and home screens.

Jolla Mobile’s smartphone understands touch gestures!
Jolla Mobile‘s first smartphone understands touch gestures, Finnish tech magazine T3 reports in today’s magazine. Jolla Mobile CEO Jussi Hurmola revealed in T3 magazine that they are going to use touch gestures in their OS and relay on movement sensors. Jolla is launching it’s first OS in November at Slush event in Helsinki(tonistechblog will be at the launch event), their OS is called SailFish. Hurmola also says that “It’s the evolution of smartphone OS, similar when physical qwerty keyboard changed to touch keyboards“. For me this means that Jolla is bringing something innovative to it’s first OS and surely there’s not going to be so many physical buttons.
