Microsoft released Xbox SmartGlass for Android recently and now it’s time to release SmartGlass to iOS devices. Xbox SmartGlass replaces My Xbox Live app in iTunes and it will be available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, running iOS 5 or higher. The UI is almost identical as is in Android version, Xbox SmartGlass allows iOS devices to serve as a remote and a keypad for Xbox 360. You can download the app from iTunes from the link below.
Previously Evernote announced version 5 for Mac and it would come soon. Now Evernote announces version 5 for iOS and it’s coming soon as well. Evernote 5 will be available for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and also for iPad Mini. In Evernote 5 there’s going to be new home screen, better design, New Places feature, page for camera to take easier photos and easy access to premium features.
You can now take easier and quicker notes straight from your home screen and the design is made for faster access to the features you use most often. Dropbox for iOS got updated and it brings support for iPhone 5, and removes photo resolution cap. These new improvements means that there’s no black borders on your iPhone 5 screen, and photos you take will not be shrunken to iPhone 4S size, even if you took your photo with 12MP camera. iPad, iPhone and iPod now shows what ever they can handle. As there is something good for Dropbox users there must be something not so good. Photos are still compressed upon downloading and downloading takes more time now even with compressed photo. For some people new updated Dropbox is great news(iPhone 5 users), but yet if you’re hurry and need those photos not compressed, you might not be so pleased.
Apple post video of iPhone 5 and refreshed iPod event on their site. Tim Cook and other executives unveiled yesterday the iPhone 5, refreshed iPod line and iTunes 11, and release date for iOS6. You can now check the Keynote video here.
Theres actually not much rumors of Apple’s next iPod line, but now new rumor has surfaced. Rene Ritchie from iMore tells that next generation iPod touch is going to have 4-inch screen along with 16:9 screen ratio. Apple is believed to revamp the next generation iPod touch processor ,and add more internal storage. 128Gb iPod touch could make easy to Apple retire iPod Classic line. However, services like iTunes in The Cloud and iTunes Match have made iOS devices far less storage-constrained than they were in the past.
Apple is going to reveal new line up of iPod’s, along with the new iPhone on September 12th. That means that the October event is cleared for iPad mini purposes.
