Facebook testing free voice calling in Messenger app!

3860_489470531089295_1414082860_n

Facebook started today testing free phone calls feature in it’s Messenger app in Canada. Facebook users in Canada can now make free phone calls via Facebook’s messenger app anywhere they have WiFi or cellular connection. New feature is currently available only for iOS users, but could also roll out to Android users, as well as all of us outside of Canada. Users outside Canada will also receive new update to both Facebook Messenger apps for iOS and Android that let’s users to make short “push to talk” voice messages. As there’s already some voice message apps in both App Store and in Google Play, it’s not so big deal, but if you could make free calls through Facebook, it would be a game changer to all who don’t want to receive big phone bills every month.

Apple already testing iPhone 6 and iOS 7, according to report!

panorama_ApplePeking

It’s not a surprise that Apple is already developing new iPhone, and new a new version of iOS, but earlier this week The Next Web claims to have seen the evidence of Apple’s next handset and mobile system. It seems that one iOS developer discovered that the app name “iPhone 6.1″ running iOS 7 was making requests from an IP address within Apple’s campus. iPhone 6 is believed to be launched in the middle of this year. The Next Web also tells that “although OS and device data can be faked, the unique IP footprint leading back to Apple’s Cupertino campus leads us to believe that this is not one of those attempts.” This report confirms that Apple continues to regularly push new iPhone models and new iOS versions, and it confirms just that, nothing more.

Hackulous, the pirated iOS app community, closes it’s service!

Download-Installous

Hackulous, service, which provides free apps for download for jailbraked iOS devices, has been shut down. In statement on the Hackulous site, team tells that they are sad to announce that they are closing the service. The Hackulous repository used for Jailbreak app Cydia has also gone offline, taking Installous and all the apps with it. There’s still plenty of users in that service, while the site told why they closed it’s service, it’s wont make much sense. Torrentfreak points out that lack of iPhone 5 jailbreak and long wait times for updated jailbreaks might be the biggest reasons for closing the service. Check out the statement after the break.

Apple has just released iOS 6.0.2 update to eligible devices(eligible devices after the break). The update fixes long lasting Wi-Fi connectivity bug. Apple has tried to fox the issue in previous update, but the bug seemed to be too hard to fix with one update. There’s not much details on what else this update will include than the Wi-Fi bug fix.

The update is available now or in the near future in either iTunes or Software update in your iOS device.
