ASUS to showcase Taichi Touch Ultrabook in December, pricing increased to around $2000!

ASUS Taichi have to be one of the most unique Windows 8 devices now, but it’s been delayed many times. ASUS Taichi was first priced around $1,300, but now new information tells that ASUS is going to re-price Taichi and the new price is around $2,000.

Asustek originally hoped to price Taichi at below US$1,600, but due to yield rate and cost problems, the company is only able to offer the product at above US$1,900.

Asustek will also release an upgraded version of the Nexus 7 at the show adopting Android 4.2, with a 16G Wi-Fi model priced at NT$8,990 and 32G 3G model priced at NT$10,900.

Seems that it’s a huge blow to ASUS as they wished to keep the Taichi’s price under $1,600.
