Huawei Ascend P2 product shot leaked!
Photo of the Huawei’s Ascend P2 was leaked by one of the Twitter’s biggest tech leaker @evleaks. The smartphone was previously already teased, but this is first photo that shows us better some design features that we haven’t seen before, like 13MP camera on the back. It’s also now known that Ascend P2 is only 6.45mm thin, and it’s amazing to see how Huawei managed to add the 13MP camera into so thin chassis. There’s also a photo of the company’s consumer BG CEO Richard Yu holding Ascend P2 during the meeting back in November(check it out after the break). Huawei is going to unveil Ascend P2 at MVC this February, and we are more than excited to see it.

Acer announces mid-range Liquid E1 phone!
Acer has added yet another phone to it’s Liquid E mid-range handset lineup, and the phone is called Liquid E1. The phone specs aren’t worst, but not the best neither, it packs 4.5-inch qHD(960×540) IPS display, a dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, a 5MP camera on the back and 1,760mAh battery. It ships with Android 4.1.1, and that’s great, but Android 4.2 would have been better. Liquid E1 measures in at 132 x 68.5 x 9.9mm, and it weights only 130 grams. More photos of HTC’s sense 5 on DROID DNA leaked!
More photos of HTC’s Sense 5 on DROID DNA leaked by XDA developer forum member mdeejay. At the site there’s multiple photos of HTC’s Sense 5, which is apparently said to be stable build of Android 4.1.2 with Sense 5 running on Verizon phone, as ported from a Sprint version of the M7. It’s pretty interesting to see that Sprint is going to get HTC’s flagship smartphone M7, seems that these two companies are pretty good friends and have strong ties through the EVO brand. Huawei unveils Ascend G615, 1,4Ghz quad-core CPU and 4.5-inch display!
Huawei just announced Ascend G615 in Germany, and it’s packing 4.5-inch 720p(331PPI) IPS display, 1.4GHz quad-core CPU, for 299 euros. There’s also 8GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM and a microSD slot in Ascend G615. As for the cameras, the phone has 8MP shooter on the back, and 1.3MP front facing camera. 8MP camera on the back is capable of recording 1080p video. Ascend G615 arrives next month in Germany with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and the OS will be updated to Jelly Bean in some point in March. SimCity beta starts January 25th, lets you play the game for one hour!
SimCity beta kicks off on January 25th and registered users can play the game for one hour. You’ll be able to play the game if you register before January 20th, and spend your one hour of gaming during the period of January 25th-28th. Users can also provide feedback on bugs and play balancing. The final version of SimCity will be released on March 5th, and it will be available for Mac for the first time. If you are SimCity fan, beta testing is great way to know little of the game and build that excitement before the actual game launches. Instagram has now 90 million monthly active users, 40 million photos posted daily!
Despite it’s Terms of Service incident last month, Instagram is going strong, and now the company offered some details of it’s monthly users for the first time. Instagram now has 90 million monthly users, and that’s 10 percent up from December to January. Instagram’s Kevin Systrom also told to AllThingsD that the company “continues to see very strong growth around the world.” How many photo’s 90 million users post daily then? Well according to Instagram there’s 40 million photo uploaded daily, thats huge, along with 8,500 likes per second and 1,000 comments per second. It now seems that “Terms of Service” incident didn’t affect Instagram as much as it has been reported. You can read more from the source link after the break.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z to be announced in Japan next week!
Sony is believed to announce thin and waterproof Xperia Tablet next week in Japan. It’s believed that NTT DoCoMo will be first carrier to add this tablet to their device lineup. Xperia Tablet Z has 10.1-inch 1,920-by-1,200 display, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and 8MP camera on the back. Device is very thin, only 6.9mm and the body is also waterproof. Xperia Tablet Z don’t have as much pixels as iPad 4 or Nexus 10 has, but it sure is good competitor with it’s thin and waterproof body. There’s no pricing info released yet. Upcoming Galaxy Note GT-N5100 device specs confirmed!
Samsung’s is going to add yet another size version to it’s Galaxy Note lineup. Samsung GT-N5100, will come in 2 versions GT-N5100 3G / WiFi version, and GT-N5100 WiFi version only. It’s also now confirmed that the official name is going to Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Galaxy Note 8 has 8-inch 1280×800 TFT (Super Clear LCD) display, 5MP camera on the back, 1.3 MP front camera, 2 GB RAM, 16Gb or 32GB of internal storage + Micro SD slot, and it comes with hefty 4,600mAh battery. The 8-inch Galaxy Note will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It also has S-Pen with all the latest functions. Samsung will unveil the 8-inch Galaxy Note in Mobile World Congress on February. Oppo Find 5 gets January 29 launch date in China, soon to be launched in Europe!
Oppo Find 5 will go on sale in China on January 29th, and soon after in Europe and in U.S. You can also pre-order Oppo Find 5 now in China for 2,998 yuan ($485). The pricing is for 16GB version, and there’s no official pricing set yet for 32GB version. Oppo Find 5 has 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, 2GB RAM, 12MP camera and 2,500mAh battery. Company also told that Oppo Find 5 pricing in U.S and Europe is set, $500 for 16GB version and $570 for 32GB version.
