AT&T announces Samsung, ASUS Windows 8 tablets to be available before holidays!
AT&T has confirmed that Samsung (005930) and ASUS (2357) Windows 8 tablet are available before holidays. Second largest wireless carrier in US will offer VivoTab RT and ATIV Smart Pc to customers this holiday season. VivoTab RT is from ASUS i packed with quad-core Tegra 3 processor, Windows RT OS, 4G LTE, 10.1-inch Super IPS display and 32GB of internal storage. ATIV Smart PC from Samsung is packed with 11.6-inch HD display, dual-core Intel Clover Trail processor clocked at 1.5GHz, Windows 8 OS, 64GB of internal storage and keyboard dock.
ASUS VivoTab RT comes preloaded with Office Home and Student 2013 RT Preview Edition, while ATIV Smart PC includes trial of the Office 2013. No pricing or actual release dates set yet, but surely after Microsoft’s Windows 8 event on October 25th we know more.

Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 officially comes to AT&T on November!
Earlier today i reported that Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 are coming to AT&T, and now they made it official. Nokia (NOK) Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 will launch in November, but theres no exact date set yet. Nokia Lumia 920 is Windows Phone 8 flagship model, it has 4.5-inch Pure Motion HD+ 1,280-by-768 display, 1.5GHz dual-core S4 processor, 8 Megapixel PureView camera with OIS and 2,000mAh battery. Lumia 820 is mid-range smartphone with 4.3-inch display, 8 Megapixel Carl Zeiss camera. Both devices are 4G capable and both comes with LTE Radio. Lumia 920 is available in five different color variations red, black, yellow, white and cyan. Lumia 820 will be available only in one color black hue. Check the full press release from down below.

AT&T rumored to unveil the Nokia Lumia 920 today in New York City!
AT&T (T) is ready to unveil the Nokia (NOK) Lumia 920 today in New York City, according to Bloomberg report. The story seems to be more than just a rumor, AT&T is holding a special invite-only event Thursday evening and it’s believed that they are going to unveil bunch of Windows Phone 8 devices and not only Lumia 920. You can expect smartphones like HTC WP8X and maybe even Samsung ATIV WP8(highly unlikely) to be unveiled. HTC Confirms Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is Coming to One series Devices!
Yesterday we covered that Android 4.1 Jelly bean is coming to multiple HTC One devices and now it’s a fact. HTC confirmed that the One XL, One X and One S will be getting upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at some point in the future.
Here is the company’s statement:
“We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean.”
Also it’s been informed that One X and One S devices for AT&T, Rogers and T-Mobile will also receive Jelly Bean update in future.

Nokia Ships four million Lumia phones in Q2!
Nokia has just revealed it’s Q2 2012 financial results. Nokia told that they shipped 4 million Lumia phones, that’s 200,000 more than analysts predicted. Nokia sold last quarter of 2011 million Lumia devices, and in Q1 2012 2 million Lumia devices. Looks like they are slowly gaining more sales on every quarter.
Nokia is now facing tough times, because it’s not certain that their older Lumia models get Windows 8 in Q3. Nokia is though told that they will update their Lumia models to Windows 7.8, which brings new starting screen for the devices.
Nokia’s Lumia 900 price was recently dropped to $49,99 on AT&T, and same time they released pink version of Lumia 900. Many analysts predicts hard times for Nokia in Q3 to compete with new Android phones and with next generation iPhone.

Sony Xperia Ion Release date Set in U.S!
Sony Xperia Ion release date is set to June 24th. Smartphone will hit virtual and physical store shelves and is tied to At&t. Price will be $99,99 with At&t contract.
Sony Xperia Ion is packed with 12-megapixel camera, which shoots 1080p video, 4G LTE, 4.6-inch 720 HD Reality Display screen, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 16Gb of internal memory. OS is Android’s 2.3 Gingerbread, but it’s likely to be updated to Ice Cream Sandwich in coming months.
European launch is planned in near future.

UPDATE: Verizon Wireless starting to accept pre-ordes of Galaxy S3 at June 6th, Price starts at $199.99. T-Mobile to launch Galaxy S3 June 21st, no price details yet. Sprint to launch Galaxy S3 June 21st, pricing $199.99-249.99, and pre-orders start at June 5th. US Cellular pre-orders start June 12th and shipping starts at July, pricing range is from $199-249.
Samsung has just announced that they are going to launch Samsung Galaxy S3 in U.S. Five of the carriers will get customized versions of Samsung Galaxy S3. Those Carriers are: Verizon Wireless, At&t, T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular. Engadget reported that they are expecting that prices are set to $199.99 with contract, and that all 5 variants are going to keep the 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display.
You got Qualcomm 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, Gorilla Glass 2.0, 16GB/32GB of internal storage and you can get your Samsung Galaxy S3 in two colors: Pebble Blue Hue or Marble White. Battery is 2100mAH which should last long enough to get you through the day.

Apple Tops 100 most Valuable Brands!
Apple tops again 100 most valuable brands, Nokia disappears from the list. WPP’s Millward Brown published it’s annual BrandZ study, which ranks the world’s leading brands. In BrandZ report we can clearly see that technology companies are increasingly populating top 10 positions. Top 3 theres 3 technology companies 1. Apple 2. IBM 3. Google and in top ten theres 7 technology based companies.
Apple got the top position in last year also with $153.3 billion and this year Apple is worth $183 billion, it has grown 19%. IBM ranked second with $116 billion value and third is Google with $76,7 billion value. Only non technology based company was McDonald’s. Biggest year over year gain also went to a technology company Facebook, which rose from 35th to 19th.
Sad story to Nokia which last year was 81st and this year it fell out of the top 100 list. Nothing surprising there if we are thinking the company’s current situation. In 2008 Nokia was the worlds ninth valuable brand.
