RIM might have to pay Nokia 270€ million due the Wlan Patent case!?

RIM might have to pay Nokia up to 270€ million due the Wlan patent case, according to report from Canadian The Globe and Mail. RIM lost patent case in Swedish arbitration court to Nokia in Wlan patent case, and yesterday Nokia stated that they are going to apply sales ban for RIM devices. Canadian National Bank analyst Kris Thomson told estimates that Rim is going to pay Nokia $5-$10 per sold smartphone.

RIM is going to unveil it’s BlackBerry 10 devices on January 30th, and it’s still unclear that does this patent case affect on those devices. Both smartphone manufacturers have been in downfall and this court ruling might make RIMs life even complicated.
