More than 100,000 China Unicom customers reserve iPhone 5!

China Unicom begin to offer iPhone 5 on December 14th in China, and carrier started to accept pre-orders on Monday. There’s already more that 100,000 pre-orders for the iPhone 5, Sina Tech reported. China Unicom customers need to provide ID and other information in order to place the order. China Unicom is second largest carrier in China, only just behind China Telecom. There’s also other good news for Apple fanboys/girls in China, Apple is starting to sell genuine iPad Mini and 4th generation iPad in China, available in December 7th.

This is very important deal for Apple to get iPhone 5 in the Chinese market, Apple’s current position in China’s smartphone market share is only 5th. Apple is going to go head to head against more popular brands in China including Samsung, Lenovo, Yulong Computer Telecommunication Scentific, ZTE and Huawei.
