Microsoft Surface rumored price $1000?!

WPCentral has found that Swedish website is taking pre-orders for Microsoft’s Surface tablet. Price in that website for 32Gb model was 6990krona, which is roughly $1000. Microsoft hasn’t released any information for pricing the Surface tablets yet, and they know that they wouldn’t charge so much for the tablet. Hopefully we see a little cheaper tablet on markets, you can now purchase 32Gb iPad for 479£ or 3G variant for 579£, it wouldn’t be easy to compete with Apple for those prices.

Verkkokauppa does the same with yet unreleased products: They put a hefty overprice for the product, which you can reserve (and pay) in advance of the release. If (and when) it turns out to be cheaper than the original “€999,90″ price they charge, you get refunded the part you overpaid, and are sure to get the product among the first users. So don’t get too spiced up about these prices yet…

Yes i’ve seen Verkkokauppa.com does the same thing, i saw Google Nexus 7 tablet priced 449,90€ for 16Gb model. In U.S Google sells same tablet with $249,99 price tag on it. I think Verkkokauppa is for those who can’t wait when the device actually arrives in stores, but Verkkokauppa does pretty good thing to bring those devices for Finnish customers.
