iPhone 5 expected to go on sale in China by mid-December!

iPhone 5 expected to go on sale in China by mid-December, after granted access license by The Ministry of Industry and Technology of the People’s Republic of China and is now suitable for going sale in China. This was one of the several regulatory hurdles the handset has to go through, and it’s now ready to go. Filings reveal that both a WCDMA and CDMA-2000 edition have been approved, confirming that the handset will be available for both China Unicom and China Telecom.

Analysts say the delay in the launch of the iPhone in China is in part due to Apple’s need to cater to demand in the U.S. market as well as the country-specific tests and licensing necessary for a company to release a smartphone in China.
