Google starts “Take Action” Campaign for the free and open web!
Google has started campaign for the free and open web. The “Take Action” campaign is against, governments trying to update a key treaty of UN agency called ITU (International Telecommunication Union). In that proposition governments tries to take more control of the internet, which could threaten internet openness and innovation, increase access costs and erode human rights online.
European parliament has passed a resolution, and in that resolution reads that:
“European Parliament believes that the ITU, or any other single, centralised international institution, is not the appropriate body to assert regulatory authority over either internet governance or internet traffic flows”
Now Google wants you to participate, you can participate by heading on the source link and provide your information there.
I think we all are in the same boat here, and we all want that Internet will be as free and as open as it’s been.
