Google Music receives 5.5 million song boost in 35 countries!

Google Music service has clinched a broad licensing deal with an alliance of French, Spanish and Italian licensing groups, the deal adds 5.5 million works from various artists including Lady Gaga and Rihanna. The royalties for publishers and artists are comprable with Apple’s and Amazon’s deals, but Apple and Amazon have separate licensing agreements with individual countries.

Last October Google (GOOG) announced that the company has added Warner Music Group as a content partner, receiving all of it’s music. Google Music service was launched last year, with 8 million tracks from labels like Sony Music Entertainment, EMI and others.
