PlayStation 4 specs and controller leaked!
Anonymous source behind next generation Xbox leaks has now leaked information about Sony’s PlayStation 4, or Orbis as Sony is currently calling it. SuperDae has provided Kotaku with set of 90 PDF files that outline specs related to hardware as well as controllers and account. This all just a rumors so nothing is official. Specs that you are about to see are for the alleged developers hardware and not for any means to the hardware that is going to be shipped to consumers. Read more after the break.
Sony developing 6.44-inch device?!
Bigger is better?! It seems to be the trend in tech nowdays, as many mobile device manufacturers are developing bigger and better smartphones/phablets. Recently it was rumored that Samsung is going to launch 6.3-inch Galaxy Note smartphone, which seems to be huge. Huawei also announced Ascend Mate, 6.1-inch smartphone. Now it’s believed that Sony is developing 6.44-inch 1080p smartphone/tablet device. Photo, that you can see above, looks like a traditional production line leak, completed with sterile white cloves. It’s believed that the screen ratio is 16:9, and the lack of physical buttons indicates that it will be android device. If this upcoming Sony device is already started to roll off production lines, chances are that we are going to see the device in MWC this February.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z announced, 6.9mm thick, 1.5GHz quad-core CPU!
Sony announced Xperia Tablet Z today in Japan. As heard before in the rumors, Xperia Tablet Z, features 10.1-inch display with screen resolution of 1,920-by-1,200, it’s main talking point must be it’s thin design, measuring at only 6.9mm thick. Xperia Tablet Z also packs Qualcomm 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, an 8.1MP camera on the back. Sony now has the thinnest and lightest 10-inch tablet, and it’s also waterproof and dustproof as well.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z to be announced in Japan next week!
Sony is believed to announce thin and waterproof Xperia Tablet next week in Japan. It’s believed that NTT DoCoMo will be first carrier to add this tablet to their device lineup. Xperia Tablet Z has 10.1-inch 1,920-by-1,200 display, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and 8MP camera on the back. Device is very thin, only 6.9mm and the body is also waterproof. Xperia Tablet Z don’t have as much pixels as iPad 4 or Nexus 10 has, but it sure is good competitor with it’s thin and waterproof body. There’s no pricing info released yet. White PlayStation 3 bundle photos surfaces!
As far as im concerned i’ve always been fan of white colored gadgets and for me white PS3 would be cherry on top of the cake. Now photos of white PlayStation 3 bundle surfaced. Sony is going to launch white PS3 bundle in the future, at least in Canada. Both Best Buy, and Future Shop, are listing a Crystal White Limited Edition Bundle that includes 500GB hard drive, a year-long PlayStation Plus subscription and a trio of games for $300 Canadian. Both stores list a January 27th in-stock date.
Sony Xperia ‘Yuga’ prototype revealed in leaked images!
Sony’s rumored 5-inch high-end smartphone called ‘Yuga’, was first leaked back in November, and now there’s another reliable leak. Russian blog Mobile-Review.com revealed 2 photos of the ‘Yuga’ smartphone.New photos also shows that ‘Yuga’ has similar back cover as is in Nexus 4 and LG Optimus G, and it’s also coated in glass. Site also says that the device is powered by Qualcomm’s latest chipset, presumably a Snapdragon S4 Pro.
Recently Sony snapped second position in Android market share from HTC. It’s also believed that Sony will reveal the ‘Yuga’ smartphone in CES2013 in Las Vegas. Check out more photos and head on the source link for more information after the break.
Sony Xperia S Jelly Bean update announcement expected this month!
Sony previously announced that it’s devices will get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, but in those devices wasn’t Xperia S, but now there’s some good news. Official Sony Mobile UK, announced that more devices, which will get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will be announced on mid-December. Sony’s Jelly Bean upgrade starts to roll-out is set to start in mid-Q1 2013, according to company’s statement in October. First Sony devices that will get the update first are going to be the latest handsets released, including Xperia T, Xperia XT and Xperia V. Now all you Xperia S users have some glimpse of hope and let’s just hope that the update won’t take too long, and that it really comes in mid-Q1 2013.

Sony patent application details hybrid DualShock/PlayStation Move controller!
Sony patent application details hybrid DualShock / PlayStation Move controller, patent was filed last year by Kaz and Co. Sony patent application describes a new hybrid controller that can function as two independent parts or locked together as one. Application also shows that, when controller is halved, those halves are tracked separately and that the video games played would switch to new control scheme. There’s no guarantee that we would ever see this kind of controller out there, but if we will it would start new kind of era, what comes to gaming controllers.

PlayStation Vita’s 2.0 firmaware update arrives with speedier browser and more!
Sony has released version 2.0 of PlayStation Vita’s firmware. New update brings faster browsing, PlayStation Plus and many other new features. With firmware 2.0 PlayStation Vita users can now use browser without quitting games and the browser experience is now much speedier, thanks to new rendering engine and optimized GPU performance. Video application in PlayStation Vita gets 1080p video playback after update, and now there’s whole new email application with support for five accounts and Notifications. Firmware 2.0 update also now allows users to connect their Vita’s wirelessly to their computer and pull down content.
