Original Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx Jelly Bean update has been rooted by Dan Rosenberg, according to DroidRzr post. Dan Rosenberg is being called”Mr.Root”, because he has rooted almost all Motorola devices over the couple of years. The Jelly Bean update that has been now rooted is the one released on X-mas eve. WSJ: Google working with Motorola to design it’s own ‘X Phone’!

Google is working with Motorola to design it’s own ‘X Phone’, according to report from WSJ. The new device would not replace Motorola’s Droid line-up, instead it’s going to be all new device. The of the project is said to be former Google product manager, Lior Ron. Ot’s also believed that the new ‘X Phone’ will provide high quality camera and photo software.

Other new technologies that are said to be explored are bendable display and ceramic case for durability. There’s no information about the design of the phone. It’s also reported that ‘X Phone’ is going to use image and gesture-recognition software, made by comapny’s recently purchased Viewdle.

US carrier Verizon Wireless has announced that it’s next smartphones to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update are Motorola DROID RAZR HD and Maxx HD. Jelly Bean update starts roll out as early as next week and gradually pushed to all RAZR HD and Maxx Hd devices. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update brings new features such as Google Now, New notifications center and project butter. Verizon also said that among those new features the update will bring improved voice and data connectivity, better native calendar settings, and updated versions of preloaded Verizon apps. There will be notification to you in your smartphone when update will ready for you, so don’t panic just yet, just sit tight and wait the update come to you.

Motorola announces RAZR i MT788, heading to China Mobile next month!

Motorola announced it’s first Intel powered smartphone RAZR i while ago. Now Motorola announced RAZR i version to Chinese market, Motorola RAZR i MT788, is specially made for Chines customers. On paper specs haven’t change so much, 2GHz Intel Atom Z2480 CPU, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 8MP rear camera, microSD slot and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Motorola RAZR i MT788 has 1,735mAH battery instead of RAZR i’s 2,000mAH, there’s also only 4GB of internal storage instead of 16GB, front facing camera is upgraded from 0.3MP to 1.3MP. RAZR i MT788 will be available in China on mid-December and for China Mobile customers.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Motorola Droid RAZR M was leaked almost a month ago, and now Verizon have confirmed that the update is here and ready for you. The official support page is now live and the update is rolling out in phases, as usually. Support page also tells that user can manually download the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in the next week.

Andriod 4.1 Jelly Bean update brings whole lot of new features including Google Now, Project Butter, smart keyboard, update also brings ISIS mobile payments plus multiple improvements. It’s nice to see that Google (GOOG) is bringing Jelly Bean update to more more users.

Jelly Bean built for Motorola Droid RAZR HD leaks out!

Motrola Droid RAZR HD was announced in while ago and it was promised that the device would get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by the end of the year. Seems now that Motorola is testing Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Droid RAZR HD, but while it’s been tested users are still waiting. The more impatient users can check out the leaked information of the Jelly Bean update.

It’s labeled as “9.1.39Xt926.verizon.en.us” and it’s just a test version and non-official, update is still full of bugs and if you end up downloading it to your smartphone you might end up stuck with a smartphone full of bugs. If you have patience and you’re willing to wait the real Jelly Bean update, it’s coming but no official launch date set yet.

Motorola lists it’s smartphones that will get Jelly Bean update!



Motorola announced list of it’s smartphones which are getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in US. Company also told that which smartphone’s won’t get the update, company gives $100 rebate to those who trade up to a select Motorola smartphone. If you purchased a DROID 3, DROID X2 or Photon 4G then you won’t get Jelly Bean update. However if you would like to get Motorola’s this years model smartphones you can get $100 if you change your device.

Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update rolling out to Motorola Xoom!



Previously today i reported that Google Nexus devices are getting Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update and now Motorola Xoom tablet is getting it too. Update is rolling out on a staggered rollout, and it’s expected to showing up on all devices shortly. Theres not so much big changes in this update for Motorola Xoom and the biggest change came to Nexus 7 tablet(gaining landscape mode in home screen). Official word from Motorola about the change log hasn’t been outed, but surely when OTA update has spread to more wider audience.
