Photo of white Nexus 4 leaked!
Photo of white Nexus 4 surfaced earlier today, photo was sent to PhoneArena by anonymous tipster, and the photo clearly shows white exterior and silver camera bezel. There’s no guarantee that it’s legit image of the device, but it sure looks pretty awesome. There’s also rumors that LG started to manufacture white Nexus 4 weeks after the black version was launched. Thi king the fact that previous Nexus versions are also available in white, though with some limitations. It seems that LG is really manufacturing white Nexus 4, and i can’t wait to get my hand on to one.
LG Optimus G Pro is officially announced, 5-inch 1080p display and Jelly Bean!
It’s finally official, LG Optimus G Pro, rumored for a long time and now it’s here. Japanese carrier announced it’s spring lineup of Android devices and LG’s Optimus G Pro is one of the devices announced. LG Optimus G Pro has 5-inch 1080p Full HD display, 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 3,000mAh battery and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. There’s also similar specs to it’s predecessor like 2GB of RAM, 13MP camera on the back, 332GB of internal storage and LTE. Optimus G Pro arrives to Japan in April, but there’s no information about when it’s going to be launched in other countries.
LG Optimus G sells 1 million units, reportedly heading to Europe and China in Q1!
LG announed that they have now shipped 1 million Optimus G smartphones. Company also revealed that it’s going to bring Optimus G to Europe and to China in Q1 2013. LG Optimus G was launched in the latter part of 2012, and now LG proudly announced that they have reached 1 million units shipped milestone. While you can’t quite compare these sales number to Galaxy S3 or iPhone, 1 million units shipped from LG is pretty impressive considering the limited availability of the device. LG Optimus G is currently available in South Korea, Canada, Japan and the United States.
LG is on the increase in term of smartphone sales, in Q3 2012 company broke it’s record in smartphones sales, and that was even before Nexus 4 sales numbers. LG is set to announce it’s Q4 earnings on January 30th, and it will be very interested how Nexus 4 impacted these numbers.

If you’re big fan of great smartphones and especially fan of Lg’s Optimus G with it’s quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chip and LTE radio, you might want to know that there’s going to be another player in Optimus G lineup. Today Engadget published photo which gives us little bit details of LG’s next high-end smartphone Optimus G Pro.
The Optimus G Pro has 5-inch 1,920-by-1080 display, that’s big upgrade from Optimus G that has only 4.7-inch 1,280-by-768 display. Also in chip side Optimus G Pro is ramped up by adding 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro chip. Optimus G Pro also has 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 4G LTE, 13MP camera on the back and 3,000mAh battery. It’s also believed that Optimus G Pro has One-Seg and NOTTV functionality which hints that the device is Japan only.
Nexus 4 sales estimated at 375,000 by enthusiasts at XDA-developers!
There’s no LTE support for Nexus 4, but it seems that i doesn’t matter much, as the device is sold out in Google Play. In a thread in XDA-developers forum, the users has used serial numbers to see where and when their device was made, and give us a clue how many devices Google actually has sold. In that serial, first three letters produced tells the year, month and country where the Nexus 4 was made. Example, 212K, device was made in the 12th month of the year 2012 in Korea.
By using this system users were able to provide roughly how many devices were being produced per month, 70,000 in October, 90,000 in November, and 210,000 in December. There’s still many Google Play customers waiting their devices, but as you can see from the numbers Google and LG are trying to cope with the high demand, and manufacturing more and more Nexus 4 smartphones.
LG rumored to debut 5.5-inch full HD phablet and 7-inch tablet at CES!
LG is believed to show new 5.5-inch full HD phablet and 7-inch tablet in CES 2013, according to report from GSMArena. LG is looking to steal the headlines in CES this year with multiple high-resolution displays.
LG is going to unveil high-end Android smartphone with a 5.5-inch full HD 1,920-by-1,080 resolution display and pixel density of 403 pixels-per-inch. The handset is believed to be named Optimus G2, and it’s expected to compete with DROID Dna, Galaxy Note and Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z smartphone.
LG is also rumored to unveil high-end 7-inch Android tablet with 1,920-by-1,200 resolution and pixel density of 321 pixels-per-inch. Company is also preparing to unveil 4.7-inch smartphone with edge-to-edge display as well as laptops, ultrabooks and TV’s with high-resolution displays.
LG wants to ban Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 in South Korea!
Samsung previously served LG with OLED patent infringement and corporate teft, and LG promptly counter sued. Samsung then escalated by widening it’s list of patent complaints, forcing LG to file for a retaliatory injunction against the “sale, manufacture and importation” of one of Samsung’s products. The device at stake now is Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, which actually doesn’t rival in any LG products currently on markets. LG now claims that Samsung has breached three LG patents concerning the improvement of the viewing angles. LG Nexus 4 launches in Finland on week 51 and ships on January 2013. LG also told that because of the high demand of the Nexus 4 it’s hard to pre-order the handset. The next delivery is expected to arrive in the Nordic countries in January 2013.
