iTunes 11.0.1 released, solves performance bugs and brings back duplicate song tool!
Apple has released iTunes 11.0.1 update, just barely week after Apple introduced iTunes 11 to the masses. While the new iTunes update is only minor in numbers, it’s different story on new features. Apple has decide to bring back duplicate item finder, a feature that was removed from iTunes 11. Company also fixes an issue where “purchases in iCloud may not appear in one’s library if iTunes Match is turned on,” makes the whole program as whole much more responsive, and solves an issue where AirPlay button may not “appear as expected”. The update is now live, and you can grab it from Mac App Store.
Apple opens iTunes Music Store in 56 new countries!
Apple (AAPL) has just released press statement which says that company is going to open iTunes Music Store in 56 new countries, and iTunes Movie Store in 4 countries. Those countries includes Russia, Turkey, South Africa and India, where customers can download DRM-free tracks from major labels and local acts. Also 4 new lucky countries sees iTunes Movie Store to be opened for them, including Russia, Turkey, India and Indonesia, with “select additional countries” gaining access soon.
Apple’s iTunes Store is now in 119 countries, while the App Store offers 700,000 apps in 155 countries around the world.

Apple announced iTunes event in Russia on December 4th!
Apple (AAPL) is going to hold iTunes even in Russia on December 4th. Seems that Russian people are soon going to enjoy iTunes goods. Apple iTunes even in Russia is held at local GUM shopping center in Moscow’s Red Square, it’s only going to be small event. There’s been lot of rumors that Apple is going to launch iTunes in Russia, as App Store users in country were beginning to see music searches appear at very low cost.
According to report from vedomosti.ru, Apple is going to sell songs in Russia for 11-20 rubles each, about 0.27€-0.50€. It’s also rumored that Apple would launch iPhone 5 in the same day, but as we know now, iPhone 5 launch in Russia is on December 14th.

Apple launches iTunes 11, adds MiniPlayer and multiple new features!
Apple has just launched iTunes 11. iTunes 11 launch was first scheduled to October, but was re-scheduled due to issues which required re-building. New iTunes 11 includes new interface, which simplifies view and shows exactly what you want to see in your iTunes. Expanded view, which shows one of your selected albums in expanded view.
iTunes 11 also includes revamped MiniPlayer, which has new feature, it can now show song which is next on the play list by clicking the Up Next button, and you can also search your collection and choose another song – without having to open your library.
iTunes Store looks also totally different, it’s been redesigned for Mac, iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. “Easy-to-browse shelves serve up popular music, movies, TV shows, and more“.
iCloud is also integrated more in itunes 11.
iTunes 11 is now available in Mac App Store as software update.

WSJ: iTunes 11 expected to debut today after being delayed by month!
iTunes 11 is scheduled to launch today, according to report from Wall Street Journal. iTunes 11 was originally scheduled to launch in October, but Apple announced in late October that iTunes 11 has been delayed to November. There was some kind of engineering issues that required some re-build and that’s why launch was delayed.
This week, Mr. Cue faces a test of how well Apple can keep up in online services with the launch of a new desktop version of iTunes, which is expected as soon as Thursday.The new iTunes has been delayed a month by engineering issues that required parts to be rebuilt, according to people who have seen it.
The new version of the iTunes includes a new interface, a new MiniPlayer, improved iCloud media content synchronization and other new features to make music listening experience even better.

Apple is delaying iTunes 11, new release date is in late November!
Apple (AAPL) is reportedly delaying iTunes 11, new release is set to be in late November. Previously Apple told that they are going to release iTunes 11 in October. The release is delayed because of Apple wants to add additional polish to the software.
Apple announced iTunes 11 last month alongside with iPhone 5. iTunes 11 will bring number of new features, design improvements and redesigned user interface. Also in iTunes 11 is better iCloud integration, a new splitscreen mode and search bar for for the iTunes mini player.

Apple developing new music streaming app to compete with Pandora!
WSJ.com reporter Dennis K. Berman reports that Apple may be developing new music streaming app to compete with Pandora and Spotify. According to this report Apple is currently in talks with major music labels to get radio streaming rights to the music. The music streaming app would be similar as Pandora and Spotify, which allows users to pick custom stations based on artists and songs. The app would also work across Apple’s devices, including iPad, iPod, iPhone and Mac.
App would be free and supported by Apple’s iAd platform. WSJ also tells that the app would be launched in coming months.

iTunes in the Cloud for Movies arrives in 35 additional countries!
Apple released iTunes Match in Poland and Hungary yesterday, Apple now also appears to be opening up it’s iTunes in the Cloud for movies in at least UK, Canada and Colombia, which before had access only music, music videos and books.
This expansion also means that iTunes in the Cloud for movies has first time launched outside U.S. This feature allows users who has downloaded movies from iTunes, can now download same movies to iOS device, any computer or Apple Tv.

[Update] Apple Resolving Corrupted App Store Updates!
[Update] Apple released statement that they have fixed the corrupted update issue in App Store.
“We had a temporary issue that began yesterday with a server that generated DRM code for some apps being downloaded,” Apple said. “The issue has been rectified and we don’t expect it to occur again. Users who experienced an issue launching an app caused by this server bug can delete the affected app and re-download it.”
Earlier this week it came out that some iOS and Mac Apps were crashing instantly, after receiving corrupted update from iTunes and Mac App Stores. Apple remained quiet on this one until now, TechCrunch reported that Apple released update to developers that they are aware of the issue and they are currently resolving the issue. Some developers which spoke to TechCrunch said that they got email from Apple, they told that there is a dedicated team working on this case and trying to fix the issue.
It all come to peoples aware when Instapaper’s developer Marco Arment was told by many users that there is big problems after they had updated the App. Instapaper’s problem has been now resolved, but Marco Arment released a full list of affected apps on his site. Apple reportedly planning to Revamp iTunes!
Bloomberg is reporting that Apple is planning big changes to iTunes at the end of this year. Bloomberg gathered this information from inside the company. Apple’s revamp is going to be straight counter to Google’s recent moves.
Key to this revamp will be iCloud. iCloud is going to be more tightly integrated, allowing easier access to and management of content across your devices. Another big thing is going to be content discovery and deeper social integration.
Apple is rumored to negotiate with the record labels to to allow users to send music to friends for free, same as you can do already in Spotify and Google Music.
