Canon unveiled full-frame EOS 6D DSLR with Wi-Fi. It’s the smallest, fastest and cheapest full-frame DSLR it’s ever made. 6D weights 690g, which makes it 20 percent lighter than 5D Mark 3. With $2,099 price tag on it, it’s $1,400 cheaper than 5D Mark 3. It’s biggest competitor is Nikon’s recently released full-frame DSLR D600. 6D is also the first EOS camera to have Wi-Fi built in, you can pari it with your smartphone(Android or iOS), then you can take photos, change settings and geo-tag your pictures via smartphone.
The 6D has 20.2 Mega pixel CMOS sensor. You can take 1080p 30fps video, HDR pictures and it’s ISO range is 100-102,400. On back of the camera is 3-inch, 1.04 million dot ClearView LCD and of course mic jack. It comes out in December 2012 and price is set to $2,099, for the body only and with 24-105mm f/4L USM zoom lens for $2,899.
Nikon unveiled lightweight, full-frame D600 DSLR today. D600 DSLR is priced in US $2,100 and in 2,400€ in Europe, the 24 Megapixel camera US list price is significantly lower than than it’s bigger brother D800. You’re getting similar experience as in D800, except from the resolution point. D600 DSLR is including a weather- and dust-resistant magnesium alloy build, Exspeed 3 processor and AF that works down to f/8. D600 body is 20 percent lighter than D800′s weight.
D600 packs video recording of 24p, 25p and 30p at 1080, with 60p only with 720. In comparison the Sony A99can do 60p at 1080, which comes handy in slow-mo video taking.
