BREAKING:Nokia begins to roll out Windows Phone 7.8 update!!
Nokia has finally started to roll out Windows Phone 7.8 update. Windows Phone 7.8 update offers more customizable home and lock screens, Marketplace improvements and numerous under-the-hood upgrades. Nokia has confirmed that the update started to roll out today and will continue to roll through February. Company hasn’t announce though that what Nokia smartphone will get it first. Alicia Keys is BlackBerry’s new Global Creative Director!!
You might have missed this, but it seems that BlackBerry loves Alicia Keys a lot, i mean that lot that the company hired her to be company’s Global Creative Director. It’s still unclear what her work remit will be, but app development was mentioned. There was also other famous fans mentioned such souls like Neil Gaiman and Robert Rodriguez. It seems that if you are famous enough, you could even be a smartphone company director.
YouTube bringing paid subscription feature this spring?!
YouTube is rumored to introduce paid subscription options for individual channels, according to report from AdAge. YouTube is trying to compete more with traditional television, and the company is reportedly offering to small group of producers ability to create channels that users can only view if they pay monthly fee. The fee is said to be around $1-$5 per month. Source who spoke with AdAge also told that Google is introducing this feature in second quarter of this year. My question for you today is that would you pay in order to watch YouTube?
BlackBerry Z10 finally revealed, 4.2-inch display, 1.5GHz CPU and LTE!
After months of rumors, speculations and teasers, RIM has finally unveiled BlackBerry Z10 smartphone. BlackBerry Z10 looks exactly like those leaked photos you’ve seen over the past months. Z10 handset has 4.2-inch 1,280-by-768 display and 356PPI. The device measures in at 130mm x 66mm x 9.3mm, as you can see it’s not the thinnest device, but it’s not the heaviest neither. The device is made of aluminum and hard, textured plastic, and inside is 1.5GHz dual-core SnapDragon S4 and 2GB of RAM, a removable 1,800mAh battery, microSD slots(up to 32GB) and microSIM. Z10 smartphone is 4G LTE capable, and that’s great news. Imaging side, Z10, has 8MP camera on the back and 2MP front facing camera.

Photo of white Nexus 4 surfaced earlier today, photo was sent to PhoneArena by anonymous tipster, and the photo clearly shows white exterior and silver camera bezel. There’s no guarantee that it’s legit image of the device, but it sure looks pretty awesome. There’s also rumors that LG started to manufacture white Nexus 4 weeks after the black version was launched. Thi king the fact that previous Nexus versions are also available in white, though with some limitations. It seems that LG is really manufacturing white Nexus 4, and i can’t wait to get my hand on to one.
Second generation Nexus 7 reportedly launching in May!?
Google is reportedly launching next generation Nexus 7 in May, and according to recent report from Digitimes, Asus is still still manufacturing the device. This rumor is backed by fact that Google I/O is held in the middle of the month. It’s also good decision from Google to keep Asus as the manufacturer, as there’s not much complainments about the built quality of first generation Nexus 7.
What will next generation Nexus 7 offer that first Nexus 7 lacks? Apparently there’s going to be Full HD display and “an industrial design with a thinner display” border. Meaning that there will be less space between display and the actual bezel. Pricing of the next generation Nexus 7 would be similar to first generation Nexus 7′s, $199 and $249.
Apple announces 128GB iPad model!
Like rumored earlier this week Apple has now announced 128GB iPad with Retina display. It’s available in both Wifi only or Wifi+cellular version. New 128GB iPad with Retina display will be available starting Tuesday February 5th, in black or white, for price of $799 for the iPad with WiFi only model, and $929 fro WiFi+cellular model. Apple will sell 128GB versions through their Apple Online store, Apple retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
HTC M7 parts leaked in video!
There’s been a lot of talk and rumors about alleged upcoming HTC smartphone M7, but now there’s a video that shows us M7′s parts, and it’s the best evidence of the device so far. ETrade Supply allegedly acquired what it seems to be back cover of the M7 handset, and it looks like slightly smaller HTC droid Dna. Rumors are also touting that the devicehas 4.7-inch display, and similar back cover as is in One X, One X+ and DNA. If M7 has 4.7-inch 1080p display, it would be the most compact 1080p device, and that’s great news for those who don’t want 5-inch 1080p handset. We are most likely to see more of M7 rumor and leaks in the coming days as the MWC is nearing. It’s believed that HTC will unveil M7 at Mobile World Congress next month. Photos of Apple’s iPad 5 leaked, looks lot like iPad Mini!
There’s been lot of rumors about that iPad 5 would look similar to iPad Mini, and now 9to5mac posted first images of alleged iPad 5. iPad 5′s design is similar to iPad Mini’s, and i features black&slate or white&silver design, thinner casing, chamfered edges, and a smaller overall footprint. 9to5mac received these photos from China based iPad accessories maker.
There’s no confirmation about the legitimate of these photos, but according to the site, “it does provide a solid representation of what Apple’s next iPad will likely look like.” It’s also now believed that Apple is going to release next generation iPad later this year, and not on March as they usually do.
