Apple rumored to launch 128GB 4th generation iPad!
Apple iPads has been long time limited to maximum storage capacity of 64GB, but now recent rumor tells that Apple is finally readying 128GB fourth generation iPad. 9to5mac got the information from source at US retailer that telling that Apple is getting ready to launch 128GB fourth generation iPad. The model is said to be identical to current iPad model excpet that it has more storage capacity. It also will be launched in black and in white. Pricing for 128GB Wi-Fi only model will be $799, while the cellular version would cost $929.
9to5 mac also offered SKU information, 16GB,32GB and 64GB, respectively known as “GOOD”,”BETTER” and “BEST”. Now there’s new information in SKU called “ULTIMATE”, which refers to new 128GB model. It’s believed that Apple is launching redesigned iPad’s due this fall.
Apple reports $54.5B revenue Q1 2013 results: 47.8M iPhones, 22.9M iPads, 4.1M Macs, 12.7M iPods
Apple has just announced it’s Q1 2013 results. This quarter includes most recent holiday sales. This quarter Apple also launched iPhone 5, new iPods, new Macs, and new iPads. Apple has reported a record quarter for Q1 2013. Company posted a record $13.1 billion profit on a record $54.5 billion revenue. That’s compared to last years $13.06 billion profit on $46.33 billion in revenue in same quarter. iPhone sales were a record 47.8 million compared to 37.04 million iPhones a year ago and 26.9 million iPhones last quarter. iPad sales set a record too at 22.9 million iPads sold, compared to 15.43 million last year and 14 million last quarter. Overall, Apple sold 75 million iOS devices last quarter.

Apple launching new iPad and iPad Mini in March!
Apple is launching 5th generation iPad and 2nd generation iPad Mini in March, according to analyst Brian White of Topeka Capital. This would be very aggressive update schedule as the company released 4th gen iPad and iPad Mini just few months ago. Analyst Brian White also claims that 5th gen iPad would be much thinner and lighter than the current version. addition to this iPad 5 could also pick some of the new design features from iPad Mini, such as diamond-cut edge and a black/slate or white/silver two-toned aesthetic.
iPad Mini would have Retina display and other new features would concentrate to internals. It’s rumored that iPad Mini 2 could have faster processor. Check out the Brian White’s note after the break.
Apple rumored to be working on a cheaper iPhone, could launch in late 2013!
Apple is rumored of making cheaper iPhone version for years now, and now rumors of cheaper iPhone has surfaced again. Now according to report from Wall Street Journal, Apple is “working on a lower-end iPhone,” citing only “people familiar with the matter” as proof. Site also states that the company has “explored such a device for years,” but that exploring is getting closer to reality as the smartphone’s are changing. New iPhone “could resemble the standard iPhone, with a different, less-expensive body”, meaning that cheap iPhone could look more like iPhone 3GS. Main reason for the launch of cheaper iPhone, could be high price of the iPhone 5 $649 in the U.S, and can even cost more overseas. You could get Android device with same or higher specs, but for less money.
Apple App Store just hit 40 billion total downloads!
Apple has just announced that App Store has just hit 40 billion total downloads, and that half of those were made in 2012. It’s remarkable that Apple hits 40 billion total downloads so fast, They’ve announced in March 2012 that they’ve crossed 25 billion total downloads mark. Apple to report Q1 2013 earnings on January 23rd!
Apple announced that the company will announce it’s Q1 2013 earnings on January 23rd at 4:30 p.m Eastern time with the numbers and follow with a conference call at 5:00 p.m Eastern time. CEO Tim Cook and CFO Peter Oppenheimer and more Apple’s executives will participate on the earnings call. This will give us a close look of how Apple did during the holiday shopping season.
