Google announces 10 best Android Apps for 2012!
Apple has done it already, and by that i mean picked best apps for 2012, and now it’s time to Google’s announce best Android apps for 2012. Not all of the app were launched in 2012, some apps got huge updates boosting their functionality and allowing them in the top Android apps list of 2012. There’s not much surprises on the list – Evernote, Pocket and Pinterest are all in the list. Check out the full list after the break.
ZTE announces high-end Nubia Z5 for Chinese markets!
ZTE has announced their newest high-end smartphone with pretty interesting features. Nubia Z5 has 5-inch 1,920-by-1080 full HD display, quad-core 1.5GHz processor and 2GB of RAM, check out more specs after the break. ZTE first introduced Nubia lineup back in October and it’s been in everyones mind after that (at least in Asia anyway). Nubia Z5 will be available first in China when it launches in January, and there’s no mention about international launch(bummer). ZTE Nubia Z5 will cost quite heavy 3,456 yen (or €416).
HTC One S getting Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update, starting now!
HTC has decided to give a great holiday gift to it’s One S users. HTC followed Motorola’s footsteps and started to push out Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update and Sense 4+ to it’s international One S devices. The update size around 612MB(that’s huge update) and it brings the software to version 3.16.401.8. Check out key features after the break.
Oppo Find 5 to hit international markets on Q1 next year!
Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Oppo, has confirmed that it’s latest smartphone Find 5 will be launched also outside of Asia. According to company’s Facebook page, not only will Oppo offer 16Gb version, but also 32Gb version. Oppo Find 5 is packed with very impressive 5-inch 1080p display and with quad-core chip. The additional countries which will get Find 5 are: Canada, UK, Spain, Australia, Germany, France, Belgium, Malaysia, Sweden, Singapore, Finland, Greece, Denmark, New Zealand, Norway, Japan and Hong Kong. It’s also now confirmed that the company will launch Find 5 in Q1 next year. So it seems now that that there’s going to be huge next year for smartphone fanatics, as multiple new manufacturer will launch their smartphones in many new markets.
Huawei’s 6.1-inch 1080p Ascend Mate flaunted by executive!
It was just recently reported that Huawei is manufacturing huge 6.1-inch Ascend Mate smartphone, and now yesterday company’s executive Richard Yu showed the devices in Huawei store in Guanghzou. There’s also more photos and video after the break. According to earlier rumors Ascend Mate is packed with quad-core 1.8GHz chipset, 4,000mAh battery, the device is 9.9mm thick and is rumored to be priced around ¥3,000 (about $480).
Richard Yu told in Weibo that specs may differ in the final product, but he added that the 361PPI display is LTPS(low temperature polysilicon) display. Huawei is going to unveil Ascend W1, W2 and the Ascend Mate in CES 2013.
Possible ASUS ME172V tablet images leak out!
New leaked images from Notebook Italia and Russian retailer, the 7-inch ASUS ME172V has trasformed out of only being numbers in benchmark results into solid possibility. Russian site ogo1.ru shows device up for pre-order at 6,990 rubles(about $225) for a 16GB model, 1,024-by-600 screen, Android 4.1 and 1GB of RAM. Earlier Benchmark results showed those specs while also showing a 1GHz CPU and Mali 400 GPU. There’s no doubt that this image and details might also be hoax, as there’s no official word from ASUS just yet.
Flipboard app for Android updated, finally adds support for Android tablets!
There’s lot of Flipboard users among Android fans, but there’s been something missing, meaning there’s not been tablet support for Android tablets, but that is now changed. The updated Flipboard app now supports Android tablets like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1, the Galaxy tab series and Nexus tablets. A setting also lets you to choose between phone and tablet modes, which will be useful for mid-size table like Nexus 7 and Samsung tab 2 7.0.
