Apple: iPad Mini and 4th Generation iPad coming to China on December 7th, followed by iPhone 5 on December 14th!
Apple (AAPL) has confirmed that iPad Mini and 4th generation iPad coming to China on December 7th, and are followed by iPhone 5 on December 14th. iPads won’t have any LTE capabilities, as Apple’s release only mentions Wi-Fi versions. Apple won’t tell in the report which carriers are getting the iPhone 5, but i bet that China Telecom and China Unicom are the ones that Apple is going to choose.
In recent earnings call Apple CEO Tim Cook remarked on the importance of Chines market, and said in July that Apple sees enormous growth opportunity in China. It’s also reported that Apple lost a good marketshare in China, as Chinese customers waited Apple’s hardware to arrive, back in start of the year 2012.
